The following images have been created in response to the Creative Research Project completed as part of my degree course. I situated myself within the landscape in Dumfries in Galloway during the winter months envisaging I would produce lots of lovely abstract landscapes and extend my portfolio. The actuality of being within the landscape during harsh winter months meant that whilst I worked with materials to create sensory textural artefacts, my physical work was more about creating a sense of calm and protecting myself. The series of work resulted in a curated display of artefacts titled ‘Mediating Exposure’.
