Landscape interpretation has been the back-bone of much of my work to date. Taking advantage of living in rural Dumfries and Galloway with wide open vistas of rolling hills and coastline gives me ample inspiration for making my work. I work gesturally, using colours that make the landscapes sing and focus on shape and textures to bring the pieces to life.
